Happy Wedding Wednesday, y’all! One of my favorite photographers, Nancy Ray, is celebrating five years of business. Plus, she’s added two new associate photographers to her team. To join in on the fun, last week I shared Arden + Adam’s engagement session, which was captured by Elizabeth. This week, the NRP celebration continues with the team’s second associate photographer, Callie Pitts!
Callie is one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram. She and her photos both exude joy and focus so much on what matters most – having memorable experiences, spending time with friends and family, and, of course, capturing sweet moments at engagement sessions and weddings. The same qualities that I love about her Instagram photos are just as evident in the professional photos she takes of couples in love, like Megan and Spencer. I love when couples opt for an engagement session in a place that holds meaning to them, which is exactly what M+S did. These two love coffee and sitting on the same side of the booth (love that!), so they spent an afternoon with Callie at a coffee shop in downtown Raleigh. I can’t think of a better idea!
From Callie: From the moment I met Megan in our studio, I knew that her and Spencer’s wedding would be one that I would never forget. Their love for each other is deeply rooted in their love of life. They truly understand and cherish how much they have to be thankful for and choose to celebrate those things daily!
On a sweet summer evening, we spent time downtown Raleigh walking around and then headed over to Cup-A-Joe. Megan is joyful, kind-hearted, and patient. Spencer is adventurous, thoughtful, and loves to learn. And together they love to laugh, spend time outside, explore new places and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee on the same side of a cozy booth. In my opinion, this session could not have represented them more as a couple and while I was behind my camera, I sure felt as if they didn’t even notice me there.
Did I mention that Megan has great style? Notice her adorable shoes, polka dot dress and props like the giant ampersand and “his and her” coffee spoons, which made our session so fun and playful! I know that this is only a small glimpse of the details that will be included in their Fearrington Wedding this weekend and I am so excited to see how everything is going to unfold! What an honor it has been to get to know these two!

Congratulations, Megan + Spencer! I hope you always sit on the same side of the booth and fill your relationship with as much love as you do now. Have a wonderful wedding weekend! I’m so grateful you shared this session with me, Callie!
Pop over to the NRP site to learn even more about Callie, and be sure to contact her if you’re planning a wedding or photo session in North Carolina. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Callie just got engaged! You can follow along on Instagram as she plans her wedding.
Thank you so much to Elizabeth and Callie for sharing two wonderful engagement sessions. Nancy, I hope you and your team enjoy many, many more wonderful years of business together. Congratulations!!
