One of the very best things I have done personally and professionally over the past year is to network online and in person. I’m such a big believer in sending that one email that may allow you to meet or work with someone new because you never know where that make take you! That’s the case with today’s post.
I met Celia of Antrim and Spruce on a warm summer night in Rittenhouse Square at the very first Tuesday’s Together meet up in Philadelphia for The Rising Tide Society. That night, Celia asked me if I would be interested in styling a photo shoot together. I love styling editorial shoots, so I happily offered to create a bouquet!
The theme for the photo shoot was inspired by the modern, eclectic, and ever so slightly whimsical venue, Material Culture. The space is so colorful on its own, so we decided a white and ivory bouquet with pops of green would pair well with the vibrant interior. I filled the bouquet with protea (y’all, they are INSANE), hydrangea, and freesia, and I completed the look by tying ribbon in shades of dusty blue, ivory, and gold around the stems. I was proud when the bouquet was complete! :)
The venue is the coolest, Marisa looked gorgeous in the Jenny Peckham gown from Borrowing Magnolia, and The Parlour did a fantastic job on Marisa’s hair and makeup (side note: coolest. salon. EVER). I seriously cannot wait for you to see the photos Celia captured!
I have quite a bit to continue to share with you (HIGH FIVE, off season), so be prepared to have the posts continue to come your way.
P.S: Celia wrote this about me. I’m so, so grateful to be surrounded by such sweet people!
