Because one of my main goals is to inspire you, each week I will be posting about a positive personal experience as part of an ongoing series I’ve named Inspiring Ideas. Now on to this week’s topic…
I am leaving on a jet plane tomorrow (I would drive if that was a possibility…) to go on my Puerto Rican adventure! And I am only partially packed. But I digress.
I have a fairly long list of places I want to see and experiences I want to have in my life, and a funny thing happens when you write them down. You suddenly feel as though you need to go out and DO them. Last year, I wrote down about 50 things that I really would love to do, and I am excited to experience several of them.
I have wanted to go to Costa Rica for as long as I can remember. I am convinced it would be the dreamiest of dream trips, but that’s mainly because I really want to go to a rain forest and then zip line throughout. A major win happened when I learned that Puerto Rico is home to El Yunque – the only tropical rain forest within the territory of the United States. Added bonus: you can zip line through the outer laying areas. You can guess where I will be! Hello, zip lining trip on Tuesday! Fact: you don’t always have to travel a certain place to have your dream experience. Lesson learned.
One of my other dreams is to ride a horse on a beach. The pictures I see of people doing this always make the experience look so fun and lovely, so let’s hope that’s the case. There were several options to choose from while my mom and I were planning our horseback riding trip, but we decided to opt for the one that will take us throughout Porto Rican’s countryside and back into the rain forest. It won’t be a ride on the beach, but I think the rain forest will do! In the end, I’m so excited to ride a horse because the experience doesn’t have to be exactly as you have imagined in order for it to be worth it.
Because I will be adventuring (and bucket listing!) in Puerto Rico next week, I won’t be blogging. However, I will be back with one of the prettiest engagement sessions and a vacation recap!
What’s on your bucket list? Fill me in! And then plan ways to make those things happen.
