I get overly excited each and every time I go to Kiawah Island. I love it. so. much. Sometimes I don’t even know how badly I need to walk on the beach or go for a bike ride until I do. My heart explodes and half of the time I start to cry because I realize I don’t need to do anything; I don’t need to be anything while I’m there. I stop worrying. I stop comparing myself to others (I apparently do this quite a bit). I try my best to soak everything in and just stop thinking and trying to predict what will happen if I do x, y, or z. By the end of each trip, I leave remembering who I am at my core.
At my core, I love to be creative. I love painting and crafts of all kinds. I love photography. So, Kiawah (and Charleston) in photos…
Boone Hall Plantation (aka: Where Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married and where “The Notebook” was filmed. : ):
Sullivan’s Island (where there is a lighthouse, there I will be also):
My heart belongs by the sea. Forever.
I hope you’re having a wonderful start to 2014!
P.S: The house with the ivy pictured above – not mine. I wish it was! :)
I miss it already :(
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. I long for warm weather. You are right, Kiawah is gorgeous!
