Happy Friday, everyone! I’ve been counting down until today for so long. Why? Because the Winter Olympics start. I’m basically beside myself, and I can promise I will cry during the Opening Ceremonies. I’ve loved the Olympics since I was little because it’s one of the only times when the world comes together to cheer on everyone. I cannot wait to see what this year’s Winter Olympics have in store from Sochi! Is any one else excited?
Aside from the Olympics, I have of course managed to love quite a few links over the past few days and weeks. Take a peek!
Lady Antebellum | Compass:
Lady Antebellum has quickly become my favorite band. My aunt and I saw them last week together, and “Compass” is my favorite song…”Let your heart, sweetheart, be your compass when you’re lost. And you should follow it wherever it may go. When it’s all said and done, you can walk instead of run ’cause no matter what you’ll never be alone.”
NBC Olympics | Put Fear Aside:
Although coming from the perspective of a few Olympic athletes, this message could.not.be.more.true. for everyone no matter what you would like to accomplish. Fear will hold you back if you don’t push through it. Go and do things!
Carly is Inspired | How & Why to Start a Blog:

A few people have emailed me with this exact question recently, so I thought I would write a post using my three years of blogging experience to outline how and why you definitely should start a blog if it interests you. Read on!
The Every Girl | U.S Army Captain Katie del Castillo’s Washington D.C Home Tour:
Photo by Sarah Bradshaw via The Every Girl
The above picture was placed side by side with another photo of U.S Army Captain Katie del Castillo wearing a stunning black dress. I immediately knew I needed to read The Every Girl’s interview with Captain del Castillo because I’m always so inspired by the members of the military. Her home is beautiful, and her interview is, not surprisingly, so inspiring. An Army Captain turned interior designer…this is a must read! :)
Carly is Inspired: The Shop | Bow & Bow Tie and Bow Champagne Flutes:
Another quick dose of self promotion. ;) The most popular item from my photo shoot was the bow glasses I hand painted over the summer. I’m thrilled to finally have them available in my shop along with a second set of glasses I designed! These are perfect for weddings and apartments alike. Celebrate everything.
Stay tuned for a very special series starting next Friday that’s kicking off with one very inspiring creative lady! I cannot wait. Have a wonderful weekend!
I’m so glad you shared the link for the army captain post. It looks awesome and I’m off to read it now! Happy weekend!
My pleasure, Sarah! I hope you loved that read. Have a wonderful bike riding filled weekend! :)
“…cause no matter what you’ll never be alone.” Words to live by and yet another great post. Your three years of experience are shining through :)
The best lyrics. :) Thank you! I’ve definitely learned a thing or two.
