For the past few weekends I have been busy non-stop. I just attended bridal market, and last weekend I decided to become a jet setter in order to work a wedding as an event assistant with one of my closest friends. As a result, I was so excited to relax this weekend. Some weekends I am so fueled by doing next to nothing. And breathe.
Aside from discovering the cutest vintage shop in my hometown (I walked in and died), my absolute favorite activity from this past weekend has been playing games. My cousins and I always play cards when we’re together, and my family and I have a stash of favorites games in our South Carolina condo to play when we’re in town. Since Friday night, my dad and I have been having nightly Rummikub matches, and I’ve loved spending time together doing something we normally only do while on vacation. Plus, family time over social media = win.
Whether you opt for cards or a board game, these are perfect for a night in with friends and family:
1. Uno, 2. Taboo, 3. Yahtzee, 4. Clue, 5. Scattergories, 6. Rummikub, 7. Heads Up!, 8. Apples to Apples
Scattergories and Apples to Apples always make my mom and our best friends laugh until we cry. That’s when you know you have a great game group! If you’ve never seen Ellen DeGeneres play Heads Up! on her show, you really need to. That’s the game I would most love to try (with Ellen…in my dream world ; ), and it’s perfect for a party.
What are your go-to games? I’d love to hear!
Ahhhhh!!! Those weekends at Ocean City, NJ with the Style “girls.” I miss them :( Scattergories is the best. Remember when Mrs. Style forgot the rule about starting each answer with the same letter and was fininshed her list in a nano second?! Good times… :)
I was about to say the same thing!
