I am so, so grateful for July. Do you ever have a feeling you’re just going to have a great day even a great month? I had that feeling at the end of June. But the thing about feeling something is that you have to make a conscious effort to make that awesome come to fruition. And I did, in part thanks to a bunch of people.
A quick round up of some of the things I am so happy to have experienced in July:
Clockwise: I faced my biggest fear and flew by myself for the first time in five years, and I was able to hold my grandpa’s hand; Fourth of July shoes(!!); one of my favorite gazebos on Kiawah; a quick peek at a photo shoot I helped style with friends in Charleston in a tree house. Holy awesome.
Left: My friend, Brynne, so generously offered me a front row ticket to see Taylor Swift. Right: My mom and I went to see Gavin Degraw, The Script, and Train. I love live music.
Last Friday night, I walked across a bridge I’ve only walked across once before, and I saw the sun set over the Delaware River. Then I discovered the Pantone color wall at Lowe’s on Saturday. I die. Glorious.

As much as I love beach trips and Taylor Swift concerts, I am most grateful for you and the fantastic May Designs team. Your entries for the May Designs giveaway were unreal. Thank you (thank you!) for entering, sharing your hearts, spreading the word on social media, and designing some awesome May Books. I read each and every comment, and I could not stop smiling. Thank goodness for random.org (the site I used to choose the winners!) because I wanted and still would love to send each of you a gift card to order the book you designed. However, without further ado…congratulations to Mackenzie J., the May Book journal winner, and Vanessa W., the Wedding Diary winner! You both will be receiving an e-mail from the awesome May Designs team shortly!
What would you love to see on Carly is Inspired next? What’s inspiring you? I’d love to hear!
Happy August! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends!
