When Heather, one of the co-owners of Meet The Burks, contacted me and said she was submitting a wedding set on Kiawah Island, I had a feeling I was going to love it. I adore everything about Kiawah – the marsh, ocean, nature, and quiet beauty that make this island wonderful stole my heart a long time ago. Naturally, I can definitely relate to Lauren who said she has been dreaming of a Kiawah Island wedding since she was a little girl. Set at the famed and completely gorgeous Ocean Course at the beginning of September, Lauren and Brian’s wedding is consisted of preppy navy and bright pink, vows recited overlooking the ocean and the 18th hole, and plenty of personal details. Captured beautifully by Meet the Burks, this wedding is definitely one to remember.
From Heather: Lauren and Brian had a picture perfect beach wedding. Lauren had been dreaming of getting married on Kiawah Island since she was a little girl, so it was the perfect setting for their big day. They had a beautiful nautical color scheme of hot pink, tan, and navy blue. They both have a very laid back style, which definitely reflected in their wedding day. It was the perfect mix of elegant but still casual.

Congratulations, Lauren + Brian! I hope you spend many more married years soaking up the beauty of Kiawah together. It’s truly magical. Heather! Thank you so much for sending L+B’s wedding my way.
