If you follow me on Instagram, you likely saw a few photos where I was talking about my partnership with Anthropologie. Before I jump into the details, let me rewind for a moment.
The fact that Anthropologie opened a new location mere minutes from me was a huge deal both for myself and also for the town next to mine. It’s the perfect store for the town, and the location can’t be beat! Naturally, every time I drive past I always feel the need to step inside.
…Or plan a pop up shop. With days to spare.
On Thursday, I drove past Anthropologie and I had (what I thought!) was a fantastic idea: design bouquets for Valentine’s Day and host a pop up shop in honor of the holiday in the store. I imagined boyfriends, fiancés, and husbands stopping by for blooms in addition to their gifts from Anthro. And I also thought girls on their way to a Galentine’s date with their girlfriends might be interested. Plus, there’s always the “treat yo’self!” motto.
I emailed Anthropologie on Friday morning, and within an hour I was in touch with wonderful members from their team. I have a go-big-or-go-home mentality. I always want to make things happen, and I tend to reach for the stars. The fact that Anthropologie – a brand I seriously admire – was perhaps interested made me the happiest. By the end of the day, they said yes, and I was officially partnering with one of my dream brands on my first ever pop up shop. Just so we’re clear, I was awestruck.
To you I say, be bold and take risks. Really big risks.
To honor Valentine’s Day, I filled my palette with shades of red, pink, ivory, purple, and green. I knew I wanted to design bouquets that had Anthropologie at heart – pieces that were bright and slightly boho – so I opted to include roses, chrysanthemums, tulips, Sweet William, statice, and greenery. I wrapped the bouquets in kraft paper, or I cut down the stems and placed the bouquet in one of Anthropologie’s mugs. Either way, the result was so sweet! Take a peek at The Bloom Bar:

I’ve mentioned it once, but I have to say this again: my local team and the corporate team (sweet Kaylee!) are the kindest, sweetest, most encouraging people ever. I loved being in the store so much that I was sad to leave as day 2 came to a close. Not only was I daydreaming about hosting another pop up, but I was also dreaming of working for this wonderful brand. Thank you for making my experience the very best!
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! My Poppy walked through the door for dinner on Sunday, and I was greeted with, “Hello, Valentine!” Holidays celebrating love should happen so much more often. xo
